NATR 332 analyze the ecological significance of California's diverse herbaceous plant communities. 4 - Less than half of students Individual Students performed well on this same topic in different contexts. I think the problem here was too much overlap between parts b and c of the question, with c being too vague/abstract. I will definitely change the ways I assess this learning outcome going forward; that should be easy enough. Upon reading question again, in conjunction with student responses, the results do not surprise me. The alternative would have been to go softer on the scoring. This was my bad.
